The Installation Access Control System (IACS) balances security concerns against operational needs. The IACS ensures Soldiers, family members, and authorized civilians are given access to the military installation.

If you are a DoD ID card holder stationed in the USAREUR AOR, or an installation pass holder/applicant, you will need to be registered in the IACS. Register at Bldg. 7290 A soldier or logistically supported civilian can request an installation pass for their visitors. The access process takes into consideration German VISA and residency laws.

U.S citizens can stay in Germany for 90 or less if they are residing in the United States. The Installation Access Control System Office will require the following documentation:

Installation Pass Application Form (AE Form 190-16A)
DOD card
Flight Itinerary
Visitor passport (if applicable VISA or resident permit)

NOTE: Requestor and visitor are to be present when making the request. If your visitor resides in the Geographical Europe, contact the IACS Office for current procedures.
