Army Volunteer Corps
The mission of the Army Volunteer Corps
Promote and strengthen volunteerism by uniting community volunteer efforts, supporting professional management, enhancing volunteer career mobility, and establishing volunteer partnerships to support individual personal growth and life-long volunteer commitment.
Army Volunteer Corps (AVC) Program
The AVC program encompasses all installation volunteer programs. Its purpose is to unite all volunteers who support Soldiers and Families within United States Army Garrison Bamberg. Volunteers contribute a broad range of services that enhance and expand the capabilities of Army programs and services.
Volunteering allows you to explore new career fields or update your existing skills. It is also a wonderful opportunity to meet others who are active participants in the community. The AVC Program promotes quality volunteer work experiences and environments which recognize the valuable contributions volunteers make.
As a liaison and resource for installation and private volunteer organizations, the Bamberg Army Volunteer Corps provides resources, training to organizations and volunteers to develop and strengthen their volunteer programs. For more information, contact the AVC office in Army Community Service, Building 7029 on Warner Barracks. Monday –Friday from 0730-1630 hrs.
