What is Emergency Placement Care (EPC)?

The Emergency Placement Care Program is a voluntary program or Command Directed service providing 24 hour a day care, for at-risk children in an EPC Certified home, when it has been determined that the child/children cannot be safely cared for by their natural parents or legal guardians.

Emergency Placement Care is comparable to the civilian foster care program in Continental United States (CONUS).
