The program mission is to provide effective sexual assault awareness training, prompt and immediate response to sexual assaults on an around-the-clock basis, and to actively advocate for sexual assault victims by coordinating available support services within the Bamberg community.

Sexual Assault Victim Reporting options:

Victims of Sexual Assault have two options for reporting that assault:

Restricted Reports: The Victim is afforded all services (e.g. counseling, medical, legal, etc) but neither Command nor Law Enforcement is made aware of the incident.

Unrestricted Reports: The Victim is afforded all services and Command and Law Enforcement are informed of the incident. POC for unrestricted reports is the Military Police (469-8700)

Uniformed members of the Military wishing to make a restricted report must only make that report to one of the following agents: Unit Victim Advocates, Military Health Care Providers, Chaplains, Social Work Services, The Garrison Sexual Assault Response Coordinator or the Family Advocacy Program Manager.  At this time, the restricted reporting option is only available to uniformed members of the military.

Civilians / Family Members wishing to make a restricted report must only make that report to one of the following agents: Military Health Care Providers, Chaplains, Social Work Services, The Garrison Sexual Assault Response Coordinator or the Family Advocacy Program Manager. Note: Unit Victim Advocates are not restricted reporting agents for Civilians / Family Members.
